When U.S. Energy Meets Chinese Market, Satellite Netherland Facility Greeted Honoured Guests

On March 16, 2019, Mr. Li Qiang Min, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Houston, Ms. Liu Hong Mei, Vice Consul, Mr. Zhou Zhen, Commercial Counsellor, Mr. Cui Guang Lei, President of the Houston Branch of China Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of Sinopec U.S. company, together with 40 members of China Chamber of Commerce visited Satellite Petrochemical’s ethane production facility and exporting port in Netherland, TX.  Mr. Lu Wei Wei, Vice President of Satellite, and Mr. Ma Tu Jun, CEO of Satellite U.S. attended this meeting.

 

Mr. Li Qiang Min, Consul General, stated: Satellite’s joint venture with Energy Transfer on ethane production and exporting is very important and with great significance.  It contributes to the deep cooperation between China and the U.S.  It is a result of the U.S. energy meeting Chinese market.  Companies like Satellite strengthens our confidence in developing cooperation between China and the U.S.  Let’s try our best in building good relationships between the two countries in the next 40 years.

 

Mr. Lu Wei Wei stated that it is not easy for the Chinese companies to survive in the U.S.  We greatly appreciate the support from Chinese Consulate General and China Chamber of Commerce.  We would never be able to establish our foothold here in the U.S. this fast without their help.  Meanwhile, Mr. Lu expressed that through the further discussions and negotiations with Satellite’s U.S. partner Energy Transfer, he got deeper understanding of the needs and cultural perspectives of the two parties.  We need professional knowledge and team work to achieve a win-win solution.

 

Mr. Ma Tu Jun, CEO of Satellite U.S., expressed his appreciation to the visitors’ continuous support throughout the years.  Mr. Ken Squire from Energy Transfer introduced the progress on the joint-venture project and expressed desire on a successful cooperation.
